Blissful Byron Bay
Byron. Synonymous with an addictive bohemian edge that has tried to be replicated the world over, this slither of coastline at the tip of New South Wales is as luxurious as it is casual. It is this juxtaposition that keeps Byron Bay long in our souls, so it was only right that white+white weddings and events created the styled concept on the shores of beautiful Byron. If you’ve ever wondered what an uber chic Queenslander bolt hole looks like, then look no further. We chose Byronviewfarm for it’s stunning interior and equally stunning ocean and hinterland views. It’s so secluded in fact that it feels like you’re the only two people in the world up there and it is with this thought in mind that we decided on this venue for our bohemian love story. It was a freezing May morning and as we’re doing star jumps in puffa jackets to get the blood pumping, our team buzzed around with enthusiasm like bees around honey to produce these stunning images from Ryder Evans. Our star photographer pulled out all the stops to find the perfect shoot locations to capture our wildly romantic concept, with antlers, feathers and white muslin draping lending a moody yet delicate essence to the images.
Byron Bay was one of my favourite little escapes when city life got a bit crazy. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was something I’ll never forget at the infamous Rae’s hotel on Wattegos Beach. The same with Belongil Beach, where I spent a gorgeous New Year after working on a christmas wedding. With it’s hippy surfer vibes, delicious breakfasts and beautiful coastline, you will, I guarantee, fall in love with Byron. It took me a few visits to see what all the fuss was about because it had been so hyped up to me over the years. Then, all of a sudden, it hit me. I was relaxed for the first time since forever and the memories will linger long in my mind.
Here’s some of the top picks in Byron:
Bay Leaf Cafe…super cool and amazing breakfast
The Byron Beach Cafe…a stern scottish manager but stunning location and one hell of a breakfast.
The Italian by the pacific…We spent New Year here and the atmosphere is too pretty to describe!
Harvest Cafe…a very special place just outside of Byron. The BEST food you will ever ever eat and in a gorgeous Queenslander…the epitome of Byron Bay.
The Byron at Byron…a luxury boutique hotel with a gorgeous spa.
Rae’s at Wattegos…A european inspired hotel, famous for the artwork and the exclusive clientele. Stunning rooms and the best breakie.
Spell Designs…fully absorb the bohemian edge and clad yourself in cheesecloth dresses and gorgeously eclectic pieces.
Ahoy Trader…my fave artwork by this Byron local. STUNNING!
Swimming in the sea with a hangover…DO IT!!! Cures any degree of Hangover.
