The HAIR edit :
Here at Isla & Smith we like to make sure that we are on trend with the latest bridal styles so that we can give our brides a fashion forward service. So we have rounded up some of our favourite bridal hair looks fresh off the Spring 2016 runway. Words by our very own Annie, a super stylish wedding planner here at Isla & Smith with a talent for amazing hair creations-a multi tasking little lovely…
Romantic Boho Vibes
Houghton’s’ collection brought textured locks worn loose and free flowing. With the top section twisted back and small sections braided, this chic-messy care free yet totally feminine look would be a surefire winner for our Ibiza brides.
The iconic ponytail proved an accomplishment at Claire Pettibone’s collection. Worn low slung, with stray ‘just off your horse’ strands, which complimented the country and western inspired feel. Perfect fitting for any bride wanting to channel their inner cow girl, yeeeha!
Packham’s inspiration for this look comes from ‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’. Full of ethereal qualities with a modern rock and roll edge and one of Isla and Smith faves looks! The hair was worn centre-parted, with a dual straight-waved halo which could be the fairytale ‘do’ that any fashion forward bride could bring straight to the alter.
In the loop
This dream-like style is worn smooth, slicked back and centre-parted-topped off with a low looped chignon which creates that oh-so romantic Italiano feel. With an added accessory, this simple style is taken to maximum grandeur. Bellissimo!
For every boho whimsical style out on the runway, there was a sleek chignon to match. While Monique Lhuillier stayed true to their elegant, polished styles, Naheem Khan went for the romantic knotted ballerina-inspired buns. Whichever style our brides choose, these idyllic and natural styles would provide the perfect frame for any destination or classic English wedding.
