Spring/Summer brides 2015
Our all time favourite time of year is when Spring/Summer is just around the corner. We start the countdown in early December, which is jumping the gun a bit, but it’s all that gets us through the cold dark months of January and February. By March we’re in flip flops, even if it is only a pretty nippy 7 degrees. But what gets us even more excited for our brides is checking out the bridal beauty trends for the coming year.
Plaits: As seen at Vera Wang and Giorgio Armani, they add THE prettiest twist to a classic bridal look. Textured and matt, the 2015 plait is relaxed and teased into place with looser strands making it super romantic.
Tawny natural: Natural bronzes flushed across cheeks, eyelids and lips = amazing natural beauty! It makes your cheekbones look sculpted, while looking like you just had a few days in the sun pre-wedding. As seen at Isabel Marant.
Hair adornment: Dolce and Gabbana, the kings of passionate dressing show how it’s done this summer with florals, gypsy-like trinkets and jewellery adding beautiful touches. Perfect for a destination bride, with brightly coloured blooms resulting in the perfect Ibiza bride look.
Long and flowing: Beautifully soft waves took centre stage at Emilio Pucci this Spring/Summer, perfect for the boho brides out there. Effortless, sexy and innocent all at the same time, they make hair look super shiny and healthy.
Pretty in pink: A divine bridal look, with freshly pinked cheeks, full groomed statement eyebrows and the same pink flush across eyes and lips but with a just bitten kind of stain. This ties everything in beautifully makes you look like you’ve just had a run in the park. Sexy and glowing, this showcases your natural beauty effortlessly! By Pat McGrath at Versace.

You may think that bridal hair and beauty is pretty classic, and you’d be right to some extent. However there are always subtle make-up and hair trends that will bring your wedding day look bang up to date, while still remaining classically beautiful. We ask make-up artist Victoria Farr to share her hot tips for the perfect look.
Name: Victoria Farr
Birthday Month: July
I love: Paris, beautiful skin & clean lines (fashion/clothing)
Not so much: flat shoes, highlight and contour make up trend, olives
People say I’m : Happy, have a dry sense of humour and not a good singer
What are the new bridal beauty trends you’re seeing a lot of at the moment?
There is so much floral around at the moment, watching the couture collections from Paris Fashion Week, there are pretty pastels and floral arrangements incorporated into dresses as well as hair/head dresses. Thus make up is complimenting with really fresh, dewy skin and pretty lip colours – perfect look for brides.
Do you have any night-before-the-wedding tips for glowing skin and beautiful hair?
Get as much sleep as possible, which is easier said than done, not too much alcohol and lots of water to keep the skin hydrated ready for the wedding day. If you want to do a deep conditioning treatment for your hair, do it a few days before the wedding and not the night before.
What’s your favourite bridal hair look to style?
Something that is not too far away from how the bride would normally wear her hair, change is not always the best for your wedding day, but I love relaxed romantic hair and if flowers are involved, I’m in heaven.
We LOVE a fashion forward bride, what’s your favourite look for this type of bride?
It all depends on the style of gown, I like to encompass the whole look together, hair and make up ensuring that the overall look is perfect, but I believe if your skin looks good, you feel good.
